Chef Philip A. Flores Jr. is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. After traveling the world as a member of the United States Coast Guard, and living in places such as the Middle East, Miami, FL and Southern California, he discovered a love for food that he had never known before. After experiencing these global cuisines he decided to enroll in The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institute in Santa Ana, CA. After graduating with degrees in Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts and a Bachelors in Culinary Management, he and his wife, a California native, decided to settle back down in his home town of Greensboro, NC. After culinary school he trained with some of the area’s best Chefs at some of the area’s best restaurants, such as Table 16, Green Valley Grill, Printworks Bistro, The Traveled Farmer and Greensboro Country Club. After years of honing his skills at these fine local eateries Chef Flores has learned to blend his classical training in French cuisine and experiences traveling with his roots in Mexican and Southern fare.
